If John Blutarsky were a punk, he'd be Butchered.

96 COUGAR
The cougar (Puma concolor), also commonly known as the puma, mountain lion, panther or catamount, is a large felid of the subfamily Felinae native to the Americas. Its range, from the Canadian Yukon to the southern Andes of South America, is the widest of any large wild terrestrial mammal in the Western Hemisphere. An adaptable, generalist species, the cougar is found in most American habitat types. It is the biggest cat in North America, and the second-heaviest cat in the New World after the jaguar. Secretive and largely solitary by nature, the cougar is properly considered both nocturnal and crepuscular, although daytime sightings do occur. The cougar is more closely related to smaller felines, including the domestic cat (subfamily Felinae), than to any species of subfamily Pantherinae, of which only the jaguar is native to the Americas.

MICROCOSMS

Tue. May. 14 - 8:00 pm - 21+ -
FREE SHOW!
MICROCOSMS - listen
Chicago rock band Microcosms began as the brainbaby of Andrew Tschiltsch. The songwriter spent a few years recording demos and experimenting with his sound before enlisting Bryan Emer (bass) and Vadim Suvorin (drums) to fill out the band. The trio quickly found that they were onto something good and went on to rehearse their set for the next year, culminating in the release of the “Know My Body” EP. Lush with addicting progressions, edgy guitars, heavy pop undertones, and walls of sound, the record boasts the aesthetic of alternative rock anthems.
MIDWAY MOON - listen
Instrumental trio rooted in hip hop, with a penchant for experimentation, drawing from genres such as jazz, electronica, dance music and soul. The band features driving drums from Nate Briggs, a thumping bass from Krikor Paylan, and silky synth and electronic arrangements from Marcus Reese. Mixing live revisions of contemporary hip hop songs and originals, Midway Moon puts together an eclectic and exciting live show, bringing their respective roots together creates a more dynamic and pulsing sound necessary to stand apart in the endless talent within Chicago.

SHED

Tue. May. 28 - 8:00 pm - 21+ -
FREE SHOW!
SHED - listen
Shed is a five-piece experimental stoner metal band from Chicago. Featuring electric cello, trombone, saxophone, bass and drums, Shed barrels off the traditional paths of its genre towards darker, weirder realms, dragging the listener through thorny thicket of riffs after thorny thicket of riffs until finally arriving at its ultimate destination: the movie theater, to watch Star Wars.
NUMERICAL CONTROL SOCIETY - listen
